Studio 921 in downtown Baltimore has amazing stylists for both straight and curly hair. And don't worry--free parking as well. Cuts start at $55, but we also have a couple of apprentices that we will give 15% off if you book with them. The phone number is ###-###-#### and the website is: www.studio921spa.com if you are interested.

Not sure where in the county you live, but I go to a hairdresser in Elkridge (just over the Baltimore County line on Route 1 in Howard County). The place is called "The Hairstation" and I've been getting my hair cut by Lisa for 6 years now. She gives me good medium/short cuts for my straight hair, and has good style ideas. Her haircuts run around $27 (shampoo and cut w/ quick blow dry).

I have been using Victoria at AKA in Canton for years. She is great. The cost is $45, I think, for a hair cut.

I do not have a specific salon to recommend but I have a suggestion. Depending how long your hair is, you may want to consider donating your hair to Locks of Love www.locksoflove.org. There many participating salons (check website) and if you donate, your haircut is free. You need to be able to donate about 8-10 inches of hair and hair is used to make wigs for children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. I donated my long straight hair during both of my pregancies. My kids are 1 year apart (2 and 3) so you can imagine how quickly the pregnancy made my hair grow.

I go to Studio 1612 in Mount Washington. My hair dresser charges $35 for a cut, and is great. The studio is huge, and as I understand it, the longer they've been there the more they charge. One friend goes to a girl there that is only charging $25. Newer I guess?
I've had a few of friends go to mine after seeing my cut. I'm also active, and explained the need for something low maintenance and that I'm still able to pull into a ponytail. She was great about getting me just what I wanted. It's about the price you pay at a mall, but WAY better quality.

I'm not sure what is considered reasonable this day and age, but I go to Bubbles in Towson Town Mall. I see Alpie, whose prices I think for cuts are between $40-$45, which is cheaper than About Faces where I used to go.

I'm not sure where in Baltimore County you live. I live in Harford, but work in White Marsh. I use a salon on Belair Rd called Roulas and my stylist is Danielle. It is located close to Forge Rd. I am also not sure what your definition of reasonable. You could contact the salon and check out Danielle's prices. She is very nice and does a great job. Hope that helps.
