I am looking for a new pediatrician, hopefully in the Apopka area. While I like my son's current pediatrician, they are very conservative, sending him for blood tests or to Nite Light Pediatrics for the littlest thing, and we end up paying hundreds of dollars for tests that turned out to be unnecessary. In addition, they are about half hour from our house, so between the gas we're using to drive out to the dr's office, and the constant after hours bills, we can't really afford to continue at this dr's office. Is there a pediatrician that you love in my area? TIA!

i DO NOT HAVE A recomendation, but a warning. Do nt go to Altamonte Pediatrics. they have and Apopka office as well. NEver can get anyone to answer the phone, wait forever once you get there, and doctors seem to be too "let's wait and see" for me. I need a more happy median. Someone who is not afraid to treat my child, but it not sending them to after hours for every sneeze. Goo dluck finding someone. I can receommend The family health center at Florida South, but the drive is probably too much. They have two excellent pediatricias on staff, Dr Quigley and Dr Sidiqui. Both my kids have been seen there for a few years now, and they like the docs. They have a great bedside manor, and talk to your kids about wht is going on as well.
I highly recommend Hunt Club Pediatrics...specifically Dr. Gross. He is a realist and has been practicing for a long time. My husband and his two brothers were seen by him when they were infants. I currently bring my daughter there and so does my daughters 2 friends.
I work for Apopka Family Health center. We have a pediatric office on 7th street in Apopka. I can tell you we are always very busy but the Pediatrician are awesome. The number is ###-###-####.
