I have tried to join the Mom's Club of Schwenksville, but after 3 tries and no responses I'm kind of down.
We just moved in the area the beginning of the month. Now that we have our own place and am able to come and go as I please, I would love to hang out with other mom's.
My son is 18 months old and I've spent pretty much the last 18 months with my MIL as my only 'mother companion.' I really would love to hang out with someone!!!
I'm a SAHM just desperate for some people to talk to!

I don't know if this helps but I live in Spring City which is really a hop skip and jump from schwenksville. I stay at home with the kids, we just recently moved down here so I won't be starting school again until fall and I pretty much have the telephone and my hubby (when he is not away for work) and my kids to talk to. Feel free to email me or whatever and we'll start there. My kids are 3 and 4 months.

I am a part of a mom's group. It's mostly mothers in the Limerick/Royersford/Pottstown area. We usually meet on Wednesdays at 10 am. We meet at various locations depending on who is in charge of planning it. This wednesday we are having an easter egg hunt at one of the mom's homes. I am sorry to say not all chapters are as welcoming of new members. I belong to chapters of both MOMS and MOPS. Try another MOMS (you'll have to pay another $20 if you join). Is Skippack reasonably close? Whereas MOMS is secular, MOPS is faith-based. I appreciate having the different groups.
Everything takes time, though. It is definitely harder if you don't seem to meet someone within the group with whom you just seem to click.
Try hanging out at the local library if they have children's story times. Maybe you'll start to recognize some regulars with kids of similar age.

Are you sure that you are within the boundries of Schwenksville? I know that the Mom's clubs are very strict about that. For example: you might have a schwenksville mailing address but live in Skippack twnsp in which case you would have to join the skippack mom's club. Take a look at their web site and see if they indicate when and where their monthly meeting is and you can just show up there. Or you may want to email the skippack moms club and tell them that you are not getting a response - they may have some advice for you. Good Luck & hang in there!!!
