R.H.
my name is R. and i have a 8 month old daughter named addison. i live in fiarfax and would like to meet other mothers.
I would love to get together with a mom or a few moms with babies around 1 yr old... older or younger, doesn't matter. I really need some adult conversation and my son needs to play with some little ones. I'm in Manassas, but I don't mind driving... Or, if any moms know of a place I could bring my son so he can play with other little ones, that's not too expensive, that would be fantastic!

Hi T. - I live in Chantilly and have a son 11 months old. I would love to get together and let them play. I don't have any friends with kids, so I feel a little isolated too. My email is ____@____.com Maybe we could meet with some other moms at Fairoaks mall. I work until 4ish during Monday-Friday.
T., I know what you are going through. When I was alone with my son it was really hard. We had no money so we did lots of free things. We would go to Fair Oaks mall and he would play with the other kids in the court yard. There is also a kid's area in the Dulles Town Center and Tyson's. The women in Tyson tend to be Nanny's or a little stuck-up. We would go to the new Fairfax corner area and play in the water fountains. The movie theater there does fee and cheap kids movies during the summer just for Moms and kids. It's a fun way to get out and meet others. I also have seen a Mom's group that use strollers. It looked like the kids were around babies to toddlers. I have seen them in James Long Park in Haymarket/Gainesville on 15. There is also a library there that does great story times for kids and a little playgound. Also the Freedom Center is a great place for both of you. I know that Starbuck's in Virginia Gateway did storytime during the summer. Virginia Gateway is in Gainesville right off 66 where Lowe's and Target are located. We are moving to Louisville so I have to start all over again. This time with a teenager... UGGHHH!!!!
Hi there, I am still kind of going through the same thing. i have finally found one friend, and it has been wondeful. I joined Gymboree in Woodbridge, it was a little expensive but worth it. I met a few moms, and my son loved to run around and play. we have stopped going b/c we enrolled him in swim lessons. I work Monday-Thursday, but would love to meet you ona Friday at a park. We can work it out. Another great free place is Ikea. You can look around and there are areas where they can play a little. It is an extremely family friendly store. Hope this helps.
