We've been living in the Ohio area for a year now and it has truly bored me to tears. I joined a moms group last fall but it was in Cleveland, wayy to far to drive. I really need some sort of outlet, some activity ideas, some adult interaction and some playdates. If you know of anything please let me know.
Have you tried searching yahoo groups? I know there are a few moms groups around the area that get together pretty regularly..What area do you live in?
I'm a SAHM in Akron and I'm a member of AC_Moms on Yahoo!groups.
I really enjoy it, there almost always a playdate or public meetup every week (and occasionally several). There is another group as well that split off from our group, but sadly they are very exclusive and will not allow you to join more than one group.

I have been going to a playgroup all summer in Kent. It is on Tuesdays from 10 am to noon. It is held at a residence here in Kent that has a spacious fenced in yard equiped with a sandbox, playset, riding toys and basketball hoop. There is usually a theme and always a healthy snack and drink provided. We don't always make it but it is a lot of fun for the kids and good conversation for the moms.
