Seeking Inexpensive Lightweight Stroller

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good, inexpensive lightweight stroller for a toddler? Ideally under $70 with a basket and a child tray and something that my 6'4" husband can comfortably push. My son will be 2 in December and my 4 year old has outgrown the need for a stroller, so we are looking to downgrade our sit n' stand to a decent lightweight stroller for our son. We go to the park a lot and often hike through the paved paths and go to the zoo often as well, so we need something that will hold up to moderate use on paved paths. I have found the Dream on Me strollers that look decent, but I can't seem to find any reviews on them; I think they are a newer line.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for the suggestions. I have been checking Craig's List everyday and have not been successful in finding a decent one that will work with my husband being so tall. I will keep looking.

I wanted a Silver Cross (however they are extremely expensive)- found the silver cross micro 2005 on a website www.ohdeal.com and got it for 69.99 including shipping- comes in many colors- love it! It is very tall- my huband is 6'1" and has no problems and also has a storage basket- which is hard to find in umbrella strollers. However, it doesn't have a tray (I don't find that I miss it now that my child is 2yr- she holds what she is eating or drinking).

I was going to say I have one I need to sell, but I see you are in TN. I am in NC - oh well.

Go to:

It is a great resource for used things. I must say, there is no such thing as a stroller tall enough for a man to push. You can get handle extensions, however. Might be worth it especially if ytou find a good used stroller for $20 or so.

I just googled "Stroller handle extensions" this was the first thing to come up. You might be able to find those on craigs list too!

Happy hunting!

We have the MacLauren Quest we got new at BRU for $100 after a MEGA coupon. My husband is 6'1" and he really likes it. You may be able to get one off Craig's List. I took my husband along to test drive them to make sure we got one that was comfortable for him.

There are some reviews on Amazon for "Dream on me". It does not say if handles are high enough for somebody who is 6'4 though. I would check Craigslist if you do not mind used . We got a great Maclaren for $25 and Pliko for $50. Both were in great cond, lightweight and with Pliko older child can catch a ride in the back. My husband is too 6'4 and those are the only strollers he did not complain about. Those are trusted brands that we knew will last( we actually sold them back on CL for the same prices after we were done:)) My 2 cents
