Hi moms! I am hoping that yall can help me out on this one. I was recently laid-off from the most wonderful job and have been staying home for a month now, problem is I have an evening contract position that I can't miss (for the money to keep paying bills). My husband was home with pnemonia and my younger brother would come over and help but doesn't change diapers and stuff, and now hubbie is going back to work. We don't have a church home yet (as we were waiting until we moved, but realize now we need to find something in the area) and we can't afford an adult sitter.
I need a reliable, responsible, non-smoking high schoool/college age babysitter for my 2.5 year old little boy on Tues, Wednes, Thursday from about 2/3-6 pm for about $5-7 an hour until my husband gets home. There is a possiblity for another 1-2 hours on Monday evening. That is about $40-70 a week.
We live in South Irving and would prefer someone to come to our house (we have an emergency sitter with my neighbor, but her house is not babyproofed and at 2.5 he gets into everything), but am willing to take him to thier house if it is in the area or on my way to Lewisville for my contract job.
You could always try posting a flier at local colleges. I know when I was at TCC Northeast campus, this happened alot, as that campuses main focus is Child Development Majors! Plus, it is free to post up there!!

You can post exactly who you are looking for and how much you can pay, etc. and people apply for the job. From my recent experience there I can tell you that there are A LOT of college women out there looking for summer work. Also, check the Member Perks section of Mamasource for a discount code to use on Sittercity.
