I'm not sure if you were ever able to find a dance studio for your granddaughter, but our studio is located in Plano on Parker. The first week is free, this gives the girls a feel of the class to see if they like it. If you are interested, let me know and I can give you more information.

Legacy Dance Center at Lebanon & Legacy...it started just a year ago but I'm very pleased with it...I'm sure you can google it and get more info.
My little one goes to Sheena's Dance located in Frisco. She loves it and so do I.
Parkway Hills Baptist church has a dance program that uses its facilities- very low pressure, and the teacher makes every learning opportunity a game. My 3 yr. old thinks it's super fun! Uses Christian music - no hoochie dancing (I'm not impressed with the sexualizing of our kids that happens in some dance schools). They do 20 minutes ballet, 20 min tap, 20 min gymnastics (optional). Older classes do 30 - 45 minutes each, depending on age and skill level.
They are on the Dallas Tollway and Chapel Hill in Plano (just south of Parker, big dome on top).
We LOVE the Frisco Dance Force -- located near the Stonebriar Mall (next to Half Priced Books, in the Target Shopping Center). Both of my daughters go there : )
