Help! I want to find a program for my son. He is soon to be 4 and has lots of energy and is very bright. I dont want to put him in just a daycare. I want to find a program that i can take him to a few mornings or afternoons a week. Preferably something that does not cost me an arm and a leg. I have a five month old, so my ability to participate is limited. Does anyone have any suggestions???

What can I do next?

My son goes to the La Petite Academy at Raintree and 101 and we just love it. They have a national curriculum and lots of fun activities and art projects planned every day. They have other locations all around the valley which you can find on their website.

I teach at Bethany Learning Center. It is a preschool in Tempe just off the 101 and Guadalupe. It is a Christian preschool and they have a wonderful developmental program that provides children's free choice of activities while still teaching the children skills necessary for kindergarten. They offer MWF, T/Th or everyday. It's 9:00-12:00 for the regular program and they also offer extended hour stuff. I have my son there and I am very pleased...

Try Headstart. It runs 4 days a week either morning or afternoon and includes breakfast or lunch and a snack... Look them up it the phone book for a number or go the office on Country Club and Baseline. Across from Costco. You'll need his shot record forms of ID, proof of residence and they can take your info there

A.,
I don't know what part of town you are in currently, but I will be opening a pre-school at my party place in April. I was an elementary teacher and currently run J.'s Party Pad. I have designed the pre-school to incorporate what I feel are important areas for pre-schoolers to be exposed to in a thematic way. I have a 3 1/2 year old son who goes to a Montessori school, so I am incorporating many of those aspects that I like into the program as well. The school is not currently open yet so information is not posted on the website yet. I would be happy to send you something if you are interested. Class sizes are limited to 13 and ages will be 3-5 in one class. I will have morning, afternoon, and full day available. Feel free to respond or call me with any further questions.

A., I recently enrolled my son in Kindercare and it is a great school with computers and the works. I am happy because you request and pay for the days there, not like some places that charge only a full week and even if your child isnt there you pay. Its $130.00 for 3 days but I am sure for 2 its less and his age is older than my son 22months. They have so many activities and recess is a must, plus interaction with others. They come home tired and with boys thats a plus......They even give you a free one day to see if your son likes it before now thats wonderful..............
