When I was trying to get my little cousins ear pierced most clinics would not do it until she was 6 mos. If she is that age Porter Pediatrics does it in Boston ma across from New England Medical Center ###-###-####
Good Luck
It was suggested that i have my child's ear pierced at a medical place.
Any ideas?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
Thank you to everyone that responded. I did find a couple leads from the Moms who left specific info- many thanks. I also appreciate the perspective of one mother who suggested I wait and let my daughter decide about the ear piercing.
I have decided to wait a while longer- so we'll see.

Hello everyone. Dr. Pamela Zuckerman does not pierce ears unless you are her pt. Sorry for the confusion, but that's her policy. Thanks
They usually do ear piercings at the Pedi's office. Mine does, Harvard Med Assoc. Some times they make you wait a bit based on the baby's lobe size, but most will do them. You may not get to see the earings before you have them pierced at the Pedi's, so I'd suggest the diamond looking ones. They've got the best sparkle. If your Pedi doesn't do them they will surely know who does and suggest someone great.
I'm sure your mind is made up, but would waiting until your child wants them pierced be something you're willing to try? It is her little body and the piercings are clearly not her wish......yet. Whatever you do, medical facility is definitely the way to go.

I had my daughter's ears pierced when she was 6 months old by her pediatrician. Dr. Pamela Zuckerman ###-###-####. She is at 1180 Beacon St #4A in Brookline. She does have a selection of diamond-look, silver stud, gold stud. There is a charge of $50 (that was 3 years ago) and the patient does not have to be an existing patient. I have referred two other girls to have the piercing done there. Good luck.
Hello, Ask your doctor I believe there may be a nurse who works there who can do it. Good luck.
Hi S.,
I'm H.. A mother of 2 boys and finally a little girl. I was thrilled when whe turned 7 and I thought she was old enough to get her ears pierced. So I asked the same question. The answer I got by most was, her doctor's office. The nurse practioner did it for her and it was painless and done in a professional manner. My sister had her daughters ears pierced at her local mall. The experience was horrible. They pierced the 1st ear and the gun locked in place. It would not open back up to get the actual mechanism off my nieces ear. The woman who was doing the piercing panicked which made every body else panic and cry and the whole job was a fiasco. Eventually they were able to undo the piercing gun and the earing actually went through her ear but there was no way she was going to go through that again (she is only 4)so now she walks around with one ear pierced.
Anything can happen anywhere as we all know but I would rather be confined to the doctors office if that occurs. Good luck to you and your daughter and Happy New Year too.
