Hi...just looking for a dentist in the olympia area where I can take my son. He's four and doesn't like the dentist much, so would like one that's pretty good with kids his age.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the responses on the dentist for my four-year old. I've heard great things about Dr. Psalits (sp), unfortunately, he's not one of our providers, but some of the others are and I will hopefully get him into one soon. Thanks again.

WE went through a similar situation and had a very difficult time. And though I found all the dentists themselves to be fine, not all the supporting staff would be. I found some to make the matter even worse with threats and put downs. So we now take her to our regular dentist,Dr. Kai Maulding and his hygienist Mary, who originally did not handle small anxious children that needed the intensive work (7 carries in her molars). When we asked them to try they blew us away with their talent and warmth that now we send everyone to them. My daughter even brings her doll to have her teeth checked. When she forgets her, they always ask where Rose is and how her. teeth are doing. We are so pleased. They are near Ralph's Thriftway.

We love Dr. Kapust, who is located near the Tumwater Safeway/Yelm Highway/Olympia High School. He's a pediatric dentist, and it is an office/practice designed to make it fun for kids to be at the dentist. My daughter loves it. The number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Allender is great!
My kids like to go to the dentist.
(We still think about the horror when we use to go to Williamette ( spelling?) dental! I always feel bad not seeking out a better one, but our insurance at the time was very limited.)

He is located by Yelm Hwy & Blvd.
We have been going for years and still love it.

I totally recommend dr. Gregrory psaltis. He's a toddler dentist and he's very kind, gentle, and sensitive to your childs needs. I took my 3 year old to him, when he had not been to a dentist, because he would be so frightened, and was very pleased.

We like Dr. Rose Bailey. She is very good with both the kids and us adults. She has an easy-going approach and won't do anything at first if the kids aren't ready. My kids love to watch the TV in the ceiling with headphones on. They are so distracted they could careless about what she's doing with their teeth. She is located on the east side of downtown near 5th Ave and Plum Street. Her number is ###-###-####.

I highly recommend Psaltis and Rowley. They work in the same office and specialize in pediatric dentistry. Good Luck!
