I've heard Beary Cherry Tree is good. kinder Care also accepts infants and when I called last week, they had openings. I haven't checked them out so I don't know what the facility is like.
DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD DAYCARE IN METAIRIE, LA, who takes babies at an early age? my son is two months old, and i really need to go back to work

Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church off Old Metairie Road is a good and reasonably priced daycare. They take infants. There are more, but all have waiting lists and probably cost more than Metairie Ridge. I would suggest that you take a look at the Louisiana Dept of Social Services Website. http://www.dss.state.la.us/departments/ofs/Child_Care_Ass...
Good luck.
Thsi isn't in Metairie, but I know that they have spots open. Spring Ridge Academy is on Florida Ave. ( off of Williams) in Kenner. They are $125 a week and do take childcare assistance. They have been open a month - both my son ( who is 1) and my brother-in-law's son (8mos.) go there. They seem like nice people and have experienced staff - all have worked in the childcare business for many years.
know the location isn't exactly what you were looking for, but maybe a backup incase you cannot find anything else
How old is your son?
Many of the churches have daycare and mdo. Celebration and Victory for starters. The schools too. Memorial, John Curtis and Ecole Classique to name just a couple. The schools usually start at about 2 or 3 yrs old.
As a child (way back in the early 70's) I went to Mary's Day Care by the main post office by Lakeside Mall, but they sold it to someone else a couple of years ago. I still have fond memories of going there but I don't know anything about the new owners.
