I have my daughter (21 months) in a daycare setting 3 days per week. The don't do any structured or learning activities except sing songs. I am looking for recommendations of any daycares that have more emphasis on constructive/learning activities while still allowing free-play as appropriate for an almost 2 year old.

If you are looking at Primrose, there is on on Weeks road, which is North of SR 54 just W of Collier Parkway.
There is a Kids R Kids. They are new so I don't know much about them. They have been her about a year. My child isn't born yet so I have other hurdles to over come before I get to that point.

We use Primrose on Cross Creek. My daughter is 9 months and can already say phrases like I love you, I got it. All Gone......
The are great!
At the kindergarden graduation they all get up individually and read their paragragh..That is very good learning if you ask me...

You should check Primavera Preschool, their curriculum is just that. The childcare setting is based on learning from the weekly theme. My 2 yr old also attends and loves it. Their ph # is ###-###-####. They are located at 13601 W. Hillsborough Ave. They have an open house Sat. Oct 7th from 10:30 to 2:30.

Hi K., I am a mother of 2, one of which is a 4 year old. I am responding to you because I constantly find myself in the same boat... looking for anything to enhance my child constructively (in this highly competitive world, lord knows she'll need it). I live in New Tampa and was doing some research just today on the different options and types of schools available to her however my other child is only 7 weeks old so I am a stay at home mom not able to meet the monetary means of such education/activities. There is a school here in New Tampa called Primrose that does seem to offer a curriculum for her age that is structured but costly. I believe it runs about 200 a week. One other school, Ellen Meade in Bradenton had me wishing I lived closer to them,; in the toddlers schedule, it included etiquette training and dance several times a week. Whatever you choose, I hope it to be the best for your daughter and you;)
Have you looked at Countryside Montessori? They have locations in both Lutz and Land O' Lakes.
