When we signed up for AT&T U-Verse they told us there was no contract...but we don't have the phone service...we like it - have no problems...
For our phone (not including our cells - which I never use mine), computer and TV it runs about $150.00 a month. I would like to switch. It is too expensive and we get a lot of gitches while watching problems. My husband says that we can not break the contract. Is this true? I thought people changed all the time.

Wow.....I cannot live without my AT&T U-verse. I have never heard of a contract, in fact when it was installed over a year ago they said I can cancel anytime but they knew I would be happy with the service so that wasn't even something I was considering. Personally I think $150.00 for cable, internet and home phone is a great price. That's like $50.00 for each.
We have Comcast, but it's about the same price...and we have tons of problems. We get knocked off line, our phone goes in and out. I don't know if there really is a great company out there! I wouldn't switch to Comcast thinking you'll get any better service though.
We unfortunately switched from Comcast and tivo to ATT u-VErse. It was a big mistake. We called comcast to come back to reinstall and ATT cut all the wires!!
They were able to fix things and we are back to our old Tivo and we love it!
