We had comcast for YEARS (when living in Detroit, it was the only company we had available). When we moved to Macomb County, we FINALLY had options. We switched to ATT U-Verse about three months ago and couldn't be happier. My hubby was adamant that he didn't want anything that required drilling holes in his new roof (which was the case with the old ATT thing). We actually get more channels than comcast and the internet service is better. Plus I love that you can pause and/or record live TV. This comes in handy when I'm making dinner and trying to catch the news at the same time.
They have all the same sports stuff (Big Ten Network, Fox Sports, etc) which was important for hubby, who's a sports fanatic, especially Red Wing Hockey and UofM Football. My son has all the cartoon channels he can possibly hope for, with the "on demand" option as well.
I can only say that the only downside is some of the shows we used to be able to watch (like FX Series) we can't go back and watch them any time we want like we could with comcast. However, all you have to do is DVR it and watch it when its convenient for you.
We were paying about $200 for comcast each month (phone, internet, cable and HBO package). ATT U-Verse is about $140 and this is their ALL THE TIME price, not a bundle package price that will change in a year (the way comcast does). I had several issues with comcast and was happy to be rid of them for good.
I feel like I should be a spokes person for ATT U-Verse because I'm so happy with them.
