I have no clue where to take my 2 year old son to do fun stuff. He loves cars, trains and interactive play. He also loves water and pools. I'm happy to go anywhere in the Metro-Detroit area for toddler activities & centers.

What can I do next?

I'm not sure where you live, but I think your little guy would LOVE Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum (1 yr. family membership is only $90 right now). This is a place you can go to over and over again and he'd never get bored. There is also a few sprinkler parks around (offhand, I only know of one in Canton and Dearborn Hgts). Also check out the Metroparks website, many of their parks have pools, sprinklers, or water parks inside, not to mention beaches. Hope these idea help, have fun!!

Jungle Java in Canton, FREE sprinkler park in Plymouth on Ann Arbor Trail, HUGE Play Scape in Westland off Ford Rd behind their City Buildings, building a sprinkler park now.

Red Oaks waterpark is fantastic for toddlers. Check out their website. It has a special toddler area that bigger kids can't go, a lazy river and a wave pool.

Clarkston has a fun spray park at Clintonville Park---there is a cost per child ($4 if you are out of the township)---they have some 'toddler' times in the mornings. You can find them on-line.

Ann Arbor Hands On Museum is a lot of fun on a rainy day.

Check out the Metro Parks. Entrance fee is minimal. Kenisington has a petting farm, spray park, playground and more. We Go to the spray park at Indian Springs. The Troy Nature Center is a nice place to visit. Entrance is $1/person. If you can afford a annual membership to the zoo, we go to the zoo for quick visits. Just ride the train or go to an exhibit or two. There's a free story time in the the Village of Rochester Hills on the "green" (I think) on Wed. at 11. The Troy Library has reading activities for kids too. Check out their website. There are concerts in Birmingham at "Castle Park" on Wednesday nights and Troy has concerts once/week (I think) at the Columbia Center. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. We get a Science Center membership and DIA membership for Christmas, so we go to those locations too. They are nice and since they are gifts from our family members, it's free for us.

Kiddie Klub in Rochester Hills is fun too. Most 2 year olds are happy with a nice playground and watching the people! There's a splash park in Warren and one in Lake Orion/Oxford area too. Metro Beach is really nice as is Stoney Creek park.
