Second Hand Children's Clothes in the Western Suburbs

I live in Oak Park and love resale too. There are two Once Upon a Child stores kind of accessible: Villa Park (Roosevelt Road) and Harlem/Foster. The second one just moved to this new location from Central/Foster and I haven't been to the new space, but in the old space they had a tremendous selection.
Keep an eye out too for the Parenthesis consignment sale this spring (March?) -- they collect stuff locally and sell very reasonably.
In the back of Chicago Parent there are resale shops listed, check those out as well.

There is the Opportunity Shop on South Blvd. in Oak Park. This is a general consignment shop, so tell your friend to call ahead to see if they have children's clothing at this time. Sales are infrequent--once a month or so.
Also look up Once Upon A Child. Several of these stores are located throughout Chicagoland, though not in OP. They have a HUGE selection of clothing and toys.

I know there are children's clothes at the Community Nurse resale shop in LaGrange.

There one fairly close to you. Its on Roosevelt Rd in Villa Park. It right down (two stores down) from the Bally fitness club it's called "Once upon a child" it's owned by the same people as Plato's Closet. There's even a Salvatoy Army closer east on Roosevelt in Villa Pk but I hear there still expensive concidering.

Hi R.! I highly recommend the Economy Shop in Oak Park. Check their website for the dates they are open. (www.economyshop.org) We got a pair of Ugg boots for my daughter for $3, and I've found terrific clothes for myself there too. Happy shopping!
