Hi Ladies,
I am looking for scrapbooking stores in the Arlington/Mansfield area. Does anyone know of any now that Recollections is closed? Thanks for your help.

There is a company called "CLOSE TO MY HEART" they have beautiful paper, stamps, and etc. Please call Angie Payne ###-###-####, she lives on the line of Arlington and Mansfield. She also has scrapbook crops, weekend retreats, and other fun things for scrapbookers.

Hello W.,try flowerfactory.com, they are a wholesale superstore and have beautiful things. They don't have anything local right now. But,if I do find something, I'll be sure to let you know. I hope this is helpful.
I also miss Recollections. This probably is more of info for crops (which I miss!!) Joann's now has crops 1-2times a month. In fact, this Friday the Arlington Joann's is having a crop from 6-midnight. The other date is Sept. 26. The Grapevine location also has crops but you would have to call them directly to find out their schedule.
I also know of a lady that does crops in her home. She is a consultant for Close To My Heart. I still haven't been but her free crops run from 6-midnight or 7-all night. I think she sometimes does crops during the day. Let me know if you want her info.
There's also a store in Irving called Googley Eyes.
The Crossroads church on 360 also has crops. You don't have to be a member. The next crop is November 7th(6pm-12am).
Hi W.,
Unfortunately the closest store that I know of is in Burleson off of Renfro. It is called Embellish It. You can look up their website at www.embellish-it-scrapbook.info. Good luck finding something closer, I would love to know of any closer to me than that.
It's sad that Recollections came in and drove all the smaller/family owned scrapbooking stores out of business, then went out of business themselves. I do not know of any close by.
IF you haven't checked out Creative Memories this year, it wouldn't hurt to check them out again. They have added new products and now have the TRUE 12x12 albums, paper products and side loading pages that fit into an album. They also have a computer program if you like to do the digital scrapbooking and you can either print the books or have the pages printed and you can put them in your traditional scrapbooks. While I am very involved in building my own Home and Garden Party business, I joined Creative Memories this year to get my own digital books and products at cost. You can see all the products online at:
www.creativememories.com. One thing I like is that you can order products from me, OR you can just enter my name and have the products shipped directly to you. Call me if you have any questions. D. T. ###-###-####
Hope this helps. Good Luck!
I found this one online and shows to have a store in North Richland Hills. I am calling tomorrow to verify, that is about 15-20 minutes from Arlington/Mansfield.

There are none..please email Archivers and put your two cents in about bringing a store to Arlington. The Highlands has some great spots for the store. I visited an Archivers in Austin last weekend and it is much like Recollections. We need them.
Meanwhile check out some of the stores online like Scrapyourtrip.com for some great deals.
Michael's, who owned Recollections, is revamping stores to make them more scrapbooking friendly. It's quite possible they'll have completed the process by the holidays to get a piece of that action, so look for changes in your local Michael's or ask the manager when you can expect them.
