It sounds like you either need to be much more assertive with your doctor or find a new doctor who is willing to be more aggressive about ordering tests. Some doctors are total wimps about ordering tests, out of fear of the insurance companies, so you may have to get tough. You should have had at least another ultrasound or some other form of testing by now (maybe MRI?) if this has been going on this long with no diagnosis. Tell the doctor you are no longer going to accept living with this pain and you expect him or her to work with you aggressively to get diagnosis so you can find treatment, and you aren't leaving his office until he has scheduled something, whatever is appropriate. I agree with others, sounds like possible gall bladder, but there could be many other causes as well, from simple to serious. We are not doctors here and can't diagnose. Get your doctor to do his job and don't leave him alone until you get answers.
