Reynoldsburg/blacklick/pickerington Area Church Recommendation

I moved to the Columbus area 3 years ago and now only attend church services when I go to my hometown. I am looking for a place of worship that has an membership of other young parents and professionals. My husband and I are also fairly slow in getting to know new people, so a warm welcoming environment would be great. Does anyone from the area have any ideas?

What can I do next?

I want to invite you to our church. It is Eastpointe Christian Church on Waggoner Rd. It is a very friendly, welcoming, fun, easy to make friends church. There is a wonderful children's ministry also; from birth-on up. I teach the 3rd and 4th grade children during the 11:00am service. We have 2 services, the first one starts at 9:30am and the second at 11:00am. There is many activities for men, women and children. There is Wednesday night bible studies, on April 7th there is the Children's Extravaganza for Easter, there's a Secret Sister group that's kind of like a Secret Santa but it's for 6 months at a time. It's really fun. The Senior Minister's name is Brian Leonard. He is fantastic! I've attached the link for you to check out the church's website. If you have any questions feel free to email me and I'll get back to you (____@____.com). I hope to either hear from you or see you there. Below is all the information about the church for you to check out.

I grew up in Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church and I would highly recommend it. They have something for everyone. I agree with PP.

Hi,
When I moved to Reynoldsburg, I really didn't want to church shop with a little one, but eventually I did. Out of the several I have visited, I REALLY like and still attend East Side Grace Brethren church on E. Broad. I believe it's a Blacklick address. It's between the Kroger shopping area and the Meijer/Target shopping area. They were very welcoming and friendly, not pushy. They have a "new to Grace" welcome lunch for visitors every month or two I believe and "new to Grace" class which you can go to to learn more about what the church is about and ask questions. The church is big, but seems smaller. There are lots of little home groups for Bible study, Parentrek for parents of young children (childcare provided I believe), there is a MOMS group (childcare usually provided). There is a First Place group for putting God first in your life through daily studies and weekly fellowship and watching what we eat. There are SO SO many things to be a part of if you like, but no one pushes. I really can't say enough good things about this church, check it out at www.esgbc.com I hope you find a place right for you!

We have found our home at The Vineyard on Cooper Road in Columbus, however there are several Vineyards out your way as well...

The Vineyard is a fellowship of churches, not necessarily a demomination so each church has it's own culture, but same set of core values/beliefs based soley on the Bible. We've been a part of the church for over 11 years now and are so excited about what God's doing - not just in our church, but in the church worldwide - it's amazing!

DC,

I know it may be a little far, but I love Heritage Christian Church in Westerville. Check out : www.heritagecc.org
They have also opened up another loation in Dublin as well. My family and I have been in Columbus for less than a year and felt a church home was very important too. The experience we had at Heritage was awesome! Never before have we felt so welcomed at a church. They even have free gourmet coffee available, which is a must for me. :-) Even our 2yr old, who never would go to Sunday School, enjoyed his classroom. And, they have services that fit your schedule. Saturday night and two on Sunday morning. I encourage you to check it out. We love it!
