Hello! I am looking for a Christian church in the Chandler area (I live at Alma School and Elliot). I have a 22 month old daughter so would need to have some sort of Sunday school program as well. I would like to join a congregation that is somewhat casual and also maybe has a moms group I could join... I haven't been to church in ages and would like to get involved again! Thanks so much!
I just wanted to thank everyone for all the VERY helpful suggestions I received for my church inquiry. You are all great to take the time out of your busy day to help me! Thank you!!!!

My two children and I love our church! They have great classes for all ages. My kids now remind me that we have to get to church early, so that we don't miss anything. They have a great program for moms also. We have been going there since 2005. East Valley Bible Church is located at McQueen & Elliot. http://evbc.org/evbc/default.html The pastor Tom Shrader is the best!!.
I hope this helps. It took a long time before I found a church we all loved and loved us back.

Cornerstone Christine Fellowship on Alma/Germaine. I used to go there and loved it, it has grown a lot so I don't know what it's like now, but still here lots of good things. They have about five services. We left because we were looking for a closer church at the time, and they didn't have their building yet.
Pastor Linn is a really good speaker, very down to earth. They have lots of programs for the kids too.
God Bless,
K.

Hi, C.,
It's great that you want to get connected to a Christian church again. Ours is Faith Church of the Valley, just east of Cooper on Chandler Blvd. We have a great children's program, and several women's and moms' groups. Children are also welcome to sit with you in service, if you like. Services on Sunday are at 9 and 10:45am. The Bible teaching is great, the music is well-done and progressive, and nobody has expectations about what you wear.
Come visit us, and tell the greeters and information center people that C. sent you.

My husband and I have attended East Valley Bible Church on Elliot and McQueen for almost 7 years and I would highly recommend it. It has a wonderful children's sunday school with all the child care workers fully screened and background checked so you can feel secure that your child is safe. The environment is casual, but varied with people dressing in anything from shorts and flip flops to dresses/shirt and tie. They have an active women's ministry with LOTS of moms so many of the events have free child care. Please check out the church website at www.evbc.org and feel free to email me with questions. I'd write more, but i'm holding my wiggly 5 month old. R., nurse midwife mom & SAHM of 2.

C. - I am not in that exact area - but we go to First Christian Church in Phoenix and Love It - website is www.fccphx.com - Would love to see you join our family. When we had our first child we realized that we needed to get back to the church and it has been great for our family and our marriage.
Also check out Homemakers by Choice (it meets weekly and is foundational - you will love it - it made a huge difference in my life)

Chandler Christian Church is awesome - it's at Alma School and Germann. My husband plays guitar with the praise team and the services are casual and contemporary. They have several MOPS groups that meet during the week with childcare, and their childrens'/students' ministry is wonderful from birth through High School. We've been happy there for many years.

Hello C.,
First I would like to congratulate you on wanting get back into your walk with the Lord. He is obviously pulling at your heart to make you want to find a church home. He is getting ready to move things in your life and this is going to be a blessing to both you and your family.
My church is not in Chandler but I know a lot af people at my church live in the Chandler area. It is maybe a 20 min drive from you. It is called Faith Christian Center and located off McDowell and 26th st. Its very easy to get to for you. Just make your way to the 202 and exit 32nd St and go left at the first light which is McDowell and go down less than a mile and it is on your right.
We have a childrens ministry and day care that your daughter can go to while you are in service and yes we have a mothers minestry as well. As a matter of fact we are having a meeting this Saturday and I would like to invite you. Its from 9:30-11:30 and our first Lady Min. Erika Moore is speaking at it. She is a mother of a 1 year old daughter and expecting her second child now. There will also be day care provided for ages 2 and up so you could bring your daughter as well.
If you would like to look at the church on-line you can go to fcc-phx.com (I think)
Our Pastor Sean R Moore is amazing. He is young and inovative and this is a teaching church I have my pen and note pad out at every service. We also have a band and an amazing praise and worship team. I would love to have you and your family come and visit our church. Please let me know if you are intereted.
Best of luck and many blessings,
S.

I highly recommend Tempe Vineyard Church. It has a casual environment and is a great community. We meet in the Polluck Cinemas on the southeast corner of McClintock and Elliot. We have an amazing Children's Ministry in the connecting suites to the movie theater. Our service times are 9am and 11am Sunday mornings. You can check out our website at www.tempevineyard.com or call ###-###-####. There are amazing moms in our church and they are all so supportive. We do life together. I don't know how I could of been through the many challenges and blessings the last 10 years without them. I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom of three girls ages 7, 4 and 11 months. You can email me any questions.

Hi C.! Finding a church can be pretty overwhelming. We attend Central Christian Church and have been going for over 6 years. We absolutely love it as do our kids. They have 2 campuses...one on Lindsay/Brown and they opened a new one on Germann and Lindsay which is closer to you. Central believes children are our future so they have so much for them as well as the adults. You can check them out online and listen to a message online to get an idea of what you will experience. Every service is different and they are about real life so you can relate. The dress is also very casual..come as you are because God doesn't care what you wear :-) If you decide to try central let me know...I can always meet you there and show you around or at least be a friend. www.cccev.com

We go to Sun Valley Community Church. It's not real close to you (Ray & Gilbert). It's a great casual family church though. I have an 8 month old and 5 1/2 year old. My 5 1/2 year old loves it and asks if we're going aach week (there is child care for the baby too during services). They also have a MOPS (mothers of pre-schoolers) group. I have also been to Arizona Community Church (north of Ray on Rural) and they have a pretty good childrens program too. Although we went there before we had kids (got married there) but have friends who say their kids love it.

I am adding one more reponse for Cornerstone. My family loves this church. My son is 20 months and loves to go to childcare- the ladies in his class remember him and love to have him, too. This makes me feel great about leaving him with them. I am also active in the MOMS group. It is a large church so I would suggest joining a smaller group within the church to get connected.
Good luck with you search- I hope you find one you love!

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (also refered to as LDS - Mormon church). There are all over the valley. I moved here 9 years ago and the first day at church I found instant friends ~ for me and my children. It is an amazing foundation for families. Great programs for children, youth. SPecial nursery class on Sunday for 18 months-3yr.old. There is a church on almost every corner. It is much more than just a social environment. Christ IS the foundation of this Gospel and the foundation of the Principals taught. Many my find our ways a little restrictive but the truth is ~ The ways of the LDS church provide LONG TERM & EVERLASTING FREEDOM. All are welcome!
Good luck!

Cornerstone in Chandler sounds like just what you are looking for. Outstanding children's program. Laid back contemporary church. Christian Rock band at every service. It is located at Alma School and Germann (202) http://www.cornerstonechandler.com Starbucks coffee and snacks inside building, and lots of Mom's groups! I have three kids ages 13-5 and they do not ever say they don't want to go to church. That is how much they love cornerstone. We have tried other churches and the kids always said they didn't want to go.

I live at Alma School between Elliot and Guadalupe. My next-door neighbors are nondenominational Christians. They go to Trinity Christian Fellowship Church. It's not real close, but not too far either...Chandler Blvd. & McQueen I think. Here is the website...http://www.tcfchandler.org/. They have bible study at their house on Wednesday evenings. Since I'm next door, I've just started walking over and joining them, but I haven't made it to church yet. My husband and I have gone with their church camping... they have Family Camp every year up by Mormon Lake. We've gone twice and had wonderful experiences... a very warm & friendly group! I highly recommend them! If you have any questions about the church, I know that my neighbor would be happy to answer them for you. Her name is Vicki & you can email her at: ____@____.com luck finding the right fit!
