try get real parents (all one word) at the ol' dot com.
It's a back and forth discussion. Much nicer.
Can I respond to people's answers on my post? I keep getting questions asked about my topic but idk how to reply. I've been just editing my post but idk if the people responding have noticed it or not.

The only way they see an edit is if they go back to your question. There is not a notification (should be) to let them know it's been edited.
On your original post there is a place to click and you can add notes in the "So What Happened?" section. This will allow you to answer the questions people ask but not in the original post where it can get lost. I usually don't reread the post I read the "So What Happened?" section. You can message each person privately but it's nice to answer in that area so everyone can respond. Unless you send a private message with the respond it is up to the responder to look for your note to them. It won't send them a notice that you responded to their questions.
C.,
When you go to your question, there will be a "button" that says "so what happened" or "edit" you can use that to respond to questions or give more information.
Typically, people who have been here a long time DO NOT change their posts, they ETA - edit to add - or put in more information - at the bottom of their post..
hope that helps!! Happy Thanksgiving!
When you open your question go down to the SO WHAT HAPPENED section and type in what you want to say.
You can add ETA then put the comment under it. You can do this several times We understand...

Just respond in your "swh" spot. If someone is truly caring enough to follow a post they will go back and check the answer.
You are doing it correctly. It would be nice if this was set up more like Facebook. Sometimes I want to respond back without the private message. Oh, you can private message, also a way to respond directly to someone and she/he will get a notice in the mamapedia inbox.
They may never notice when you edit the post unless they decide, for whatever reason, to re-read your question.
You could always send a private message, but be warned a lot of users delete them without reading them because in the past some people have sent very nasty messages to others.
