If I ask a question, and someone answers it, is there a way to respond back to that person? I'm new to this ;) What is sending a flower? Kind of like a "like" on FB, or something? Thank you!

What can I do next?

A flower is a "like" and it shows up under the answer as "1 mom likes this" (or more).

You can write a private message to someone by clicking on their name. But then they have to go back to your question to figure out who you are, what you asked, and what they wrote. And other responders won't see that info, and may continue to ask the same questions. Then you have to answer each person individually.

The best thing, if you have to add info that other future responders will need, is to edit your question. Write "ETA" or "Edited to Add" at the bottom (but DO NOT delete your question or take out major sections of it) and put in additional info that will help us.

If you want to answer one person but keep the info public for all, you can edit the question by putting people's names at the bottom as an ETA ("D., my child is 9." "Anne, I already tried _____" and so on.) But don't bother with names if the info you are providing is beneficial to all. And even if you write "D., my child is 9," I will only see that if I come back to your question for updates. But a lot of us do that to learn more and see what other people have suggested. And you should go back to earlier responses and see if they have "ETA" additions after you've added more details. You won't get any notifications if someone edits/adds to her answer.

Hope this helps.

K.,

No. You can only EDIT your response or put more information in the SWH (so what happened) section.

Hi K.,
Welcome! You can click on your question and post a response or opt to send a private message as others have mentioned. Flowers are "likes" just as you suggested.

Yes, sending a flower is similar to 'like' in Facebook.

I wished they had a way to add a comment/reply to certain posts. For the site, you can write in the 'So What Happened or SWH' or some people type 'edit' or 'add' to their original question. You can also send a 'private message'

If you send a flower, you are acknowledging you read their response and like it. Or at least acknowledging it, even if you don't like what they said.

You can edit your post, that's how you respond to people.
You can also send messages. Your best bet is to give as much information in your question as possible to help people help you.
