Hi everyone,
Last night my son and i were at a friends house and the kids were playing outside for hours. When we got home my son wss saying his foot hurt ( he had socks and shoes on the whole time). When i took his shoe off to see what was wrong he had a red ring on the bottom of his heel. Looks like an imprint from something. He stopped complaing about it hurting. When he woke up this morning he know has one on the bottom of his other heel. The orignal one has 3 more smaller ones around the big one. He is 2 years old but isnt complaining about them any more at all. It looks like ringworm but its in the skin not raised or anything. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

If they are on the same spot on both heels take a look at his shoes before you travel down the ring worm road.

When my kids were younger they would want crappy shoes that had characters on them. Under a really flimsy insole was a heel that had rings and hollow spots. Once the insole broke down wearing those shoes hurt. Just something to look at.

Have you peeled up the insert/insole of the shoe, to see what's underneath? Like PP said, it may be part of the shoe rubbing on the bottom of his foot, or there could even be something embedded in there.

My dd had this from the retextured swimming pool. Since she just had ringworm, I went back to the ped to show her.
