Try goof-off. You'll have to test an out-of-the way area first to be sure it doesn't damage the carpet, but I swear that stuff takes anything off!

Hi, Just mix up a batch of Oxyclean with warm water. The directions are on the container. It will turn black after you first (either squirt or use clean white cloth) apply to carpet. Let it sit the appropriate time. I cannot swear that it will work on dye being that dye is suppose to (DYE) but, it sure does work on the reddest red wine etc. Can't hurt to try for sure. Good luck. Let us know. OK?

Try Didi Seven. It worked great at getting out a red stain on my beige carpet back in the late 80's. I'm not sure where you can get it now, but I remember it being an As Seen on TV item in the 70's. It is a petroleum base, but it works great when nothing else will.

Something else that might work is Melaleuca Pre-Spot. This is a pre-spray for laundry. It got ball point ink out of the same carpet years later after my dog chewed up a pen. It is the best spot remover for laundy (and carpet) I have found. I need to find me some more.
