Red Bumps on Toddler

A week or so ago, my 2 1/2 yr old had about 6 or 7 red bumps (small ) on his back, right below his neck. It seems like one night I got him out of the bath and there they were. They are still there but are slowly disappearing. Then, tonight after his bath I noticed he had several of the same bumps close to his bottom. Sort of on the outside of where his diaper would be. I have done tons of Google searches, but can't come up with what they might be. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow, but in the mean time, any idea what they might be?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Fortunately, they don't look wart-like so I don't they they are molluscum. I guess they either could be heat or allergy related. They don't seem to bother him-aren't itchy and don't hurt. He has super sensitive skin, so if anybody is going to get something like this it is him. Thanks!

Are they itchy? Maybe heat rash?

Heat bumps. My husband and my son get them. I dont though and thought they looked odd the first time I saw them. They come and go and are harmless.

My daughter would get small red bumps along the back of her neck and shoulderblades as well as around the diaper line every time it got warm and she got sweaty. They'd be especially noticeable around bathtime but never seemed to bother her. I found that rubbing a bit of corn starch on the rash each night and each morning really worked wonders to clear it up. I assume it was a heat rash (or prickly rash as I've heard it called) and she still gets it from time to time. Corn starch always works. Good luck.

We were just at doc for my 1 year old having bumps. He said it was an allergy, probably to outside. Her bumps last about a day or so and then pop up somewhere new. He said I could give her claritan or zyrtic. Maybe your little one is allergic to the soap you use in tub?

I've seen such bumps on my daughter, my grandchildren, and myself. Even doctor didn't know what they were and they went away on their own.

If they're not itchy, I wouldn't be concerned.

Do any of them look wart like? If so, could be mollescum contagious (spelling?), a common virus similar to warts.
