My MIL had something like this, but it ended up spreading after a few months. She finally went to the dr. and it was a dermatological yeast infection. She used a prescription cream and it cleared up. See your doc just to be safe!
I don't know if it is just an age thing or what but I have a slight red discoloration splotch on my belly and on the top side of one breast. I'm 42.5 and I've had a mammo and everything was fine. No pain, swelling, itching or rash like symptoms. I just have a bit of chameleon in me in certain areas. They have been there for a least a year with no changes.

Hi A.,
It sounds like it might be similar to what I have. I've had it for about 18 months and finally went to a dermatologist for it last month :-) It doesn't itch, doesn't do anything, it's just red splotches. There are a few on the underside of my breasts, and some on the area beneath my breasts. The dermatologist said it's a yeast rash and that it's common in those areas as well as under your arms because that's where you are hot and there isn't much air for your skin to breathe. She said you can put a cream on it (prescription) that will take care of it, but it's not hurting anything and since I'm still nursing I decided to wait on getting the cream. So..maybe that's what you have, too? :-)
Hope that helps!
Hi A.,
Have you seen a doctor recently? For peace of mind I would see an internist or dermatologist. Mammograms are great but they can miss early spots. It could be stress related. Either way, ask a professional.
Go see your dermatologist. It might granuloma annulare...not sure I spelled that right. There is no symptoms other than than the redness. A strong prescription steroid cream gets rid of it. The spot may come back on another place on your body.
