Depends on if you have the DVR/tivo type service already with Comcast or if you have an external DVR.

If it's external, go to any Best Buy or Circuit City and ask them for the correct firewire you'll need to connect from the DVR to the box. They should know what kind of a set up you'll need. Remember to tell them exactly what kind of DVR you have.

If it's the Comcast DVR service, you'll need to contact customer service to have a technician walk you through the process as they should have done when you first sign-up for the service.

As far as I can tell, it won't let you record On Demand movies with the DVR.

Hey- my husband said there is no way to do it, he has tried it. You have to record it on a VCR or on a stand alone DVD recorder. Hope this helps.

Why don't you just call the customer service number they give you and ask them?

I have DVR with Charter communications and it won't let you record On Demand movies, but it will let you record PPV movies. It seems stupid to me but its a way for you spend more money if you dont want to wait for it to show up on PPV or a mvie chanel

If you are watching the show you can just hit the record button on your remote. If you want to record a future show when you a looking at the guide go to the show and hit info then go over to the red circle and hit ok. It will ask you to confirm and it might ask you if you want to record the series if it doesn't when you click on your DVR button there will be other options in there. If you have any more questions let me know.
