I am a mother of a 9month baby boy who is growing faster then I ever thought possible. Well I am not the greatest at remembering to send pictures to people or call and update them on what my little one is doing from day to day. We have family that lives out of town and out of state that may only get to see him once a year. So I was wondering if someone could recommend a good website to use for picure sharing and entering little blogs about what he is doing??? I know there is Facebook and myspace but for others to look at my page they would have to sign up for accounts as well. I am looking more for something to where I can give then a user name a password to go in a look at the pictures and blogs entrys. Any sugesstions would be great!! Thanks in advance for your help!!!
I use Shutterfly. I create albums on the site, then I add emails of the people I want to recieve the link to look at the pictures. There are options for whoever I share the photos with to purchase photos.
This has worked well for us.

Picasa is good. Love it.
On Facebook, you can have an account and upload pictures. fB will give you a link for others to view the pics without signing up for an account.

I have the same situation with family all over the country. I have a blogger blog. It is really user friendly to use. It is a google program. Also if you have google's picasa (their picture editing/storage software...also free) then you can hit the blog button and it automatically uploads to your blog and you can title it and write a story with it. I love smugmug. You can also share videos and store all your data forever. It does cost $39 for a year though but for us it is totally worth it.
