Mission OB/GYN in Warren, off of 13 Mile and Hoover ###-###-####. This practice is a group of females and they work out of Beaumont. They delivered two of my three kids. Absolutely love them and they really listen and give you there time when you visit. Best of luck to you.
Check out www.birthnetwork.org to make sure any birth care provider you choose has signed the Mother-Friendly Care Initiative. Also, when it comes to choosing an OB for pregnancy, make sure you choose the hospital you want to deliver out of first, then the OB. Midwives are another really great option! Don't just settle for the first OB/midwife you interview! Know you options.
I love Drs. Maura Mazey and Lisa Gilbert. They own their own practice:

They have always treated me with respect and like a family memeber. They take time with you and I never feel rushed with them. I would give them a try!
Oh and when Dr. Mazey had to do a c-section with my second child, he came out with a club foot and she handled it with the up most respect. I never felt worried because she made us feel like she would fix everything. She was awesome with my husband who almost passed out because of the site of the foot but she calmed him down and made both of us feel like everything was okay. She is awesome. Please try these wonderful women!
I recommend Eastside Gynecology & Obstetrics. They have two locations, Roseville and Macomb Twp. Roseville is the main office and the # is ###-###-####. I see Dr. Mike Mahoney but there are three women there I recommend- Hall, Hamby, or Valentini. They do deliveries at St. John's Moross, and Beaumonth (old Bon Secours) Grosse Pointe.
Good luck!
I agree with the other responses that you got about Dr. Mazey and Dr. Gilbert. I went to Dr. Mazey and have been going to her for 12 years, Love her. She is sooo matter of fact and down to earth. Good luck.
I love my OBGYN
Comprehensive Woman's Care
Dr. Angela Messina (they also have another woman who I have not seen and three males who are great as well - but she is my fav.) She treats you like person instead of just another client. I have had to see he often for some issues and I always leave by her giving me a hug - it is great I feel so comfortable around her.
She has three offices - 17 and Garfield, 23 and I-94(that is the office I go to and the ladies are AWESOME) and then Detroit Moross at Professional Building at the Hospital (those ladies are great as well) I am not to fond of the ladies at Garfield but that is my personal opinion.
She practices out of St.John and now Henry Ford (on 19 mile).
Here are the numbers

Good Luck I know it is hard to change, I decided to change to Dr.Messina in 2005(just before I got pregnant) and it was the best decision I ever made.
My Ob is at Oakland/Macomb OBGY. I've seen all the Dr.s and they are all great. Dr. Wallace is my primary. Dr. Stark delivered my daughter. They are technically Oakland Co-- they are in the Well Pointe Building on South Blvd. just in front of Troy Beaumont.
I LOVE THEM. All of my aunts and cousins go here as well.

I am currently going to Dr. Maura Mazey at Great Lakes OBGYN. They are located on Schoenherr between Common & 13 Mile. I absolutely LOVE them!! All the nurses there are great, and the drs (Dr. Mazey and Dr. Gilbert) are both women, and are wonderful. My sister in law recommended her, and I'm so glad she did! They don't push c-section, which is a plus to me, and have been taking EXCELLENT care of me - (I'm going through a high risk preg right now and am due on 5/28).
With my first son, I went to Dr. Andrew Agosta, out at 23 & Schoenherr. They were also very good - but I'm over in Roseville now, and it was too far to drive. I haven't been there in almost 6 years, so I don't know how their office is now, but Dr. Agosta was great when I delivered too.
Good Luck!
I second the motion for Dr. Messina as well! And I live in Ferndale and drive all the way to chesterfield because that is my favorite office as well. The last year has been very difficult for me and she has made it much easier for me...She is absolutely amazing and caring and you can tell she cares for her patients!
Hi K.,
I agree with Nicole W. Hands-down, ALL of the female (and male, for that matter) doctors are EXCELLENT at Oakland/Macomb OB/GYN. They're located just West of Dequindre on the North side of South Boulevard. I delivered my kids at Troy Beaumont. Although I used the mid-wives for both my pregnancies and deliveries (this is something you might want to consider as well...all of the midwives are FABULOUS), I saw Dr. (Cathy) Stark for my first pregancy (the midwife had to bring her in, due to miscarriage) and Dr. (Elise) Wallace treated me for a short time during my third pregnancy (2nd birth) when I started having what, fortunately, turned out to be MINOR complications. Dr. Wallace also treated me this past February when I found a lump in my breast. She was wonderful - very caring, thorough and sensitive - and I felt like she treated me, the "person," rather than treating my "symptom." Bottom line, whoever you choose over there - whether it be one of the 2 female OB/GYNS, or any of the female midwives - you're sure to get top-notch care and treatment. I've been thanked by soooo many women who've I've recommended their practice to. Everyone I know who goes there loves whoever they end up seeing, and they stick with them forever. (By the way...their offices are very nice, they're exam rooms are clean, and their front office gals/billing staff are all wonderful too. Something else to consider). Good Luck!
Hello,
I loved my Dr. this was my 1st Pregnancy and I didn't have an OB, so I just rendomly picked her b/c she accepted my insurance and I was so happy. She was great espically when it was go time, she was in the hospital w/ me a lot. At this practice you only see one Dr. and thats the one who will deliver you. Actually by re-reading your question, im not sure your pregnant but, shes great.

I dont have the # on hand, but you could google her or the practice.
English is her 1st language.
good luck!
Where would you be wanting to deliver?
I work as an RN in Labor and Delivery at Crittenton and we have some great Drs. but most of them are out of Rochester or Washington Twp.
Hi K.,
I LOVE my ob who is a male though. But he is sooo nice, getleman, caring, very supportive. I have been with him for 5 or 6 yrs now and I introduced him to 3 friends and family members who love him as well. He just delivered my cousins first child and she couldn't be any happier. His name is Dr. Kwaiser. He also did a hysterectomy on me which he took his time in talking with me about it, a couple of months, went over pros and cons and I am only 36. Except for my being upset that I will never have any more kids, I have one awesome 9 yr. old now, it really took care of most of my medical problems. I trust him. If you would like more info please send me an email and I would be happy to share him...lol
Take care,
S. S.
