I've been taking Effexor for a few years now, and for some reason sometimes I miss a dose, and it sucks! I usually take it in the morning, but remembered last night. So I took it last night. Should I take it again this morning like usual or wait till night? You're supposed to take it at the same time every day. Thanks!
Based on the feedback I was getting, and what I've done in the past, is take it tonight around 4pm, because I took it at 6 last night. Then over a few days of moving up in 2 hr increments, I'll be at morning again.
Effexor is not to be messed with, yes you're right. None of these meds are, and if I didn't have to take them, I'd go off them! But in the meantime, I take them daily at the same time, unless I accidentally forget once in a blue moon!
You should call your doctor or ask for pharmacist to ask for their specific advise on how to get back on schedule. Make sure you specify whether you are on Effexor or Effexor XR. This is not a medicine to mess around with so please get professional advise.
I would just stretch out the time and take it midday today then get back on schedule in the morning.

It's time released more than likely, talk to the pharmacist to be sure. But I would wait and take the next one like this.
Say you took that one last night at 10pm. Tonight take it your med at 8pm, then tomorrow evening take it at 6pm, then the next day 4pm and so forth.

You can simply not take one tonight and wait until morning.
IF IF IF you don't want to take it at bedtime and want to take it in the AM then you can just adjust this one dose to get it back on track.
