My daughter goes to Apple Creek Preschool and we are very pleased with her progress. I think they are a good choice if you are looking for a part-time program.
I am trying to find a good quality preschool for both my children. ( 4yr and 22mo.) My son misses the kindergarden cut-off for the fall of 2009. I would like them to both attend the same school. I currently have them in a day care/preschool and love the staff but my 4 yr old is not being challenged and I fee will fall behind. I am only interested in part-time schooling. We live in Frisco and I am finding that there is a waiting list for my daughter (22 mo) and not for my son (4 yr). Any recommendations?

I would recommend Apple Creek Private Preschool. They are located off of Stonebrook Pkwy. They offer a half day, part time program and their Pre K program has a great curriculum for your son. They are a NAEYC (National Association for the Edudcation of Young Children) accredited school. Very high standards for this honor. The owner is Tammie Williams. Go by for a tour. I was very happy when my son was there and when it was time for him to start K, he did great, was very comfortable with the whole "school" idea and very confident in his own learning abilites. He was actually ahead of a lot of the other students in K because of the Pre-K program they used at Apple Creek. Good Luck!!
Spanish Schoolhouse in Frisco. It's a Spanish immersion preschool. The student teacher ratio in each class is low, they have an outstanding preparatory program for the kids, and they learn Spanish. My daughter and her two cousin attend and we have seen great things from them. www.spanishschoolhouse.com
My daughter attends St. Philip's Episcopal Preschool located at Stonebrook & the Tollway and we absolutely LOVE it!!! They accept children 30 months thru Kindergarten. Should be perfect for your two by the time enrollment starts up for Fall 2009. Here is their website...
I have heard great things about Finger Prints Private Preschool in Frico.
My daughter has been going to Prince of Peace Catholic School on Plano Parkway in Plano since she was 3. She loves it! There are a lot of great families and we have really enjoyed it.

My kids went to Canyon Creek Day School in Plano at Coit & Spring Creek. The MOST amazing school. The curriculum is incredible, and they have full and part time programs. The kids are challenged and loved. My kids are both among the smartest in their elementary classes, and I completely attribute it to their learning at CCDS. If you take a look at the school, you will see by the kids enrolled that parents that want a highly academic pre-school have chosen CCDS.
Hi J.!
You have to check into Primrose Pre-Schools! They are the BEST when it comes to early childhood education! I will give you the link to the school that my children attend(ed) and that I SWEAR by! The owner took over this school about 5 years ago and has just made it the greatest place. She is in the school everyday, and really loves what she does. You can see the love that the directors, owner and teachers all have for the families, and each other. Here is the link, go check it out and take a tour. I also think she bought a second location that is in the Plano area as well. I have heard nothing but GREATNESS out of both of her schools.

Hi,
My name is S. and I live in Frisco also. My daughter goes to Stonebriar Preschool Pals at Stonebriar Community Church. I love it and most importantly she loves it! The staff there is awesome and so is their curriculum. Ashleigh started there when she was 2 last year and is currently 3. She will be starting school later also because her birthday is Sept. 12 and you have to be 5 by Sept. 1. I have been so pleased with how much she has learned already. If you ever want more information and would like to talk, just email me and I'll send you my phone.
Hope this helps.

Primrose Schools. My kids attended Primrose at Prestmont. They have a very organized and challenging curriculum. The same owners of this school also own Lakehill and Griffin Parc. They have P/T schedules through their PreK programs. They actually have a full Kindergarten program that is available for children that turn 5 by 12/31 if you want your older child to get a head start on public school kindergarten. My daughter turned 5 in January so we did not attend K. It was Prestmont's first year starting in 2007. Not sure if all 3 offer K program. I'm not sure if they allow P/T for Kindergarten, I believe that is an 8-3 M-F program.
I love Apple Creek! There is a Frisco and an Allen location.

Kids R Kids on Main st have a GREAT cirriculum. My son is not there yet, as my sister keeps him right now. Call them, they have a letter and color of the day or week, geography, spanish, french, math etc.
My son attends Applecreek preschool off of Stonebrook. This is our second year there and we both love it. The kids can either go T/TH or MWF and just for a few hours each day...either in the morning or in the afternoon. You might visit the website at www.applecreekpreschool.com.
Hi J.,
I recommend that you look at Applecreek. My 5 year old son has been to two other preschools and he has done very well at Applecreek. It is very structured and the kids know exactly what to expect every day. They are challenged. My son is in the pre-k program which I consider aa transitional program that might be perfect for your older child.
Good luck!
