Puffy Eye Remedies That ACTUALLY Work!

This morning I woke up with eyes that were so swollen I almost didn't go to work. I looked like a freak! I had to ice my eyes for an hour before work just to have any semlance of normal. It was a combination of allergies and crying late at night (me and hubby got into a big fight last night... UGH!). Any time I cry at night I wake up with hideously swollen eyes, so I'm wondering, because icing them really wasn't all that effective- what actually works? Anything?

What can I do next?

Soak a cotton square in some witch hazel and place it on your eyelids for a bit. This helps a lot.
