Protecting Photographs from Sunlight

Is there a way to protect photos from sunlight? My home is filled with professional portraits of my boys and I am afraid they are starting to fade due to sunlight. We have windows all throughout the home with plenty of natural light, so it is hard to display them while avoiding the sun. I called Michael's/AC Moore and they do have glass that they can use when you professionally frame items (filters the sun) but these are smaller 8x10 and 5x7 pics that would be very pricey to get all custom framed. Any thing that other Moms know of to avoid this problem?

What can I do next?

The only true way to protect photos from the sunlight is to keep them out of the sunlight.

Hopefully you have copies in your photo album, which could yellow from the acid in the album pages.

You could put a UV blocking film on your windows, it would help to protect your furniture too. Lowes carries it. www.gilafilms.com
