Hi S.,
Where in Davis County are you looking for preschools? I know of two really good ones in Farmington. One is called Raggedy Ann and Andy preschool and is off of Main St. in Farmington (my daughter went there last year and loved it) and the other one my little boy goes to this year and is off of the Frontage Rd. in Farmington also. Let me know if you would like the phone #'s for these or if they are too far from where you are. Good luck! My email is ____@____.com

I agree with the Critchlow's Little Red Schoolhouse in Uintah/South Ogden. I just signed up my two kids there and found it to be the most warm and wonderful environment ever. I had been to a lot of them to check them out and to be honest, none felt right at all. My son has previously been to school and it didn't work out and he had even been with me to check some new ones out, he is quite shy at first with new people, and each school he was like, "not this one mom." Well she immediately had both of my kids talking to her and responding to her, she was very warm and I could tell right away she genuinely loves kids. This put me at ease right then. I'll tell you it is all about first impressions and feeling like they are going to love your kids like their own and I have no doubt that is the case here, she even states this is her letter to the parents. The director, Clarene Critchlow, has been doing this for 43 years, she had seven other teachers, one her daughter, one her granddaughter, but the least amount of time they have been with her is nine years and I think the longest she said is 30 years. Every school I had been to had massive turnover history. That right there tells me something, this is a group who believes in what they do, loves the kids, has a great curriculum and in turn people rave about what a great school it is. I had been referred there by two very happy parents and I can say without hesitation, this is going to be a wonderful preschool and experience for my kids. It was clean, she does a variety of activites, both academically for the kids and physically, has two different classrooms, wonderful outside play area. For me, it was a little ways away, but after going there and seeing what my kids would be doing, I would drive an hour to get there if I had too!!! SAHM to 5 yo boy and 3 yo girl.

Hi there,

My son is already enrolled in a preschool that's full, but we got this flyer on the door yesterday and it looks really good. "Brite Kids Preschool" "Where Learning Can Be Fun". Michelle Garner is the teacher and her number is: ###-###-####. Have you heard of Brite Music by Janeen Brady? I actually sell it, so I'm sure Michelle probably sells it and has based her preschool on it's principals which is brilliant!! You can go to www.britemusic.com so see and listen to their music. It's all educational and value-oriented. They have a Safety Kids series which is excellent for teaching safety, even to 3 year olds! If you want to purchase anything, you can use my discount code at the check out: ###-###-#### (where it asks for the invitation code) and you'll get 10% off your order. Good luck! On the flyer it says "Recieve $5.00 off when you register before the end of March."

I don't know if The Little Red Schoolhouse is still running in Layton, because the owner came and taught with her mom at The Little Red Schoolhouse in South Ogden last year. You may want to check though. THey are a wonderful school. Both of my boys went there. They have been in business for years and I have a personal relationship with most of the teachers there. They are all wonderful with the children. They are very professional and teach the kids a lot! We could not find another preschool that compared as far as what they taught the kids and what they knew when leaving. We looked around due to gas prices going up, last year, but nothing even came close so we stuck it out and are glad we did! If they aren't running in Layton anymore, and if you can, I-89 runs right next to the mountainside. The Little Red Schoolhouse in South Ogden is just right at the top of I-89 when it hits South Ogden. Hard to explain, but you can get to it easily from the Layton area. You will want to call ASAP because they start taking kids about now and they always end up with a waiting list! Actually I have the South Ogden preschools number ###-###-####! Good Luck! You won't be disappointed! S. F

S., Check with the school district, they usually have a list of good pre-schools. You might also consider using their preschools. They are fabulous! Not only that, if your home school, that is the one your kids will be going to starting kindergarten, has a preschool, your kids will allready be familiar with the school. The only drawback to those is you have to register with them and there is usually a line the day of registration. I'm in Layton so you probably don't want to drive out here but there are many great ones here. Good luck!
