It seems when I am pregnant I am prone to yeast infections. I have passed it to my husband. I have no symptoms but he does. Is there any over the counter stuff he can use to clear it up or does he need to go to the doctor?

What can I do next?

I would suggest a doctor's visit for you both to make sure that it is a yeast infection and not something else. The doctor can give both of you something strong enough to get rid of whatever type infection you and your hubby has.

A good washing with soap and water, and then Lotriman (like for Jock itch) is what my OB suggested for my hubs.

Hello, if you're prone to them add yogurt to your diet. I was like that and my dr told me to eat yogurt. It has to do with the bacteria and helps with yeast infections. Find one your like and have one daily, I do. My family likes Dannon Light Vanilla. We eat it with fruit, in the afternoon with chocolate chips or make a smoothie.
As far as your husband, I would say go to the doctor. That way he could take something and be done. Then, we could have some yogurt with you.
Good luck..............

I call on OBGYNs all day long so many patients persistent BVV - could be a yeast infection, maybe not with your body changing. I find especially in women that are expecting that the general test for BVV may not resolve the issue and you can be on the wrong medicine. Self diagnosis can be extremely incorrect. There is a test that will test for 11 organisms as well as the proper balance of good vs. bad. Good luck!!

He can use the same medicine you do (like monostat). I have also had great luck with baking soda sitz baths for yeast infections.
