Pregnancy Symptoms Just 10 Days Later...?

Hi there,

When I got pregnant with my first, I knew because my breasts were huge and sore and I had an awful taste in my mouth. With my second, I knew because I had the same gross metallic taste in my mouth so it was a dead giveaway. We are not exactly doing the deed very often these days but we did about 10 days ago. Now, I know women have a tendency to drive themselves crazy thinking about every possible pregnancy sign (been there, done that) and the best thing is to just wait...but, I have been insanely exhausted the last two days, light headed and very, very hungry. Our 14 month old is not sleeping through the night yet, and I am still breast feeding quite a bit during the day and night...so right off the bat, that would certainly cause one to feel tired. In addition, my period has not returned. Having said that, about 14 days ago I had a terrible headache that lasted 3 days...it was the same kind of hormonal, premenstrual headache I remember having every month of my life (before my kids were born) so I had a strong suspicion I was getting my period...that is exactly when we did the deed. So, to all the moms out there...have you been in a similar situation and if so, were you pregnant? At this point, 10 days after is too soon to take a test. I plan on checking in another three weeks...

Thanks! .

What can I do next?

How can you stand the wait? LOL

I was taking 2 tests a day. Then I tried First Response Early Test and it was positive 7 days before my period was due (the box claims 6 days and up). So, these tests are sensitive! Even the Dr. office came back negative. Now, I'm over a month pregnant!

Well, I knew at 10 DPO with both of mine that I was preggo. I wouldn't say I had symptoms, but a test confirmed it.
So, it's certainly possible.

the first time we gave it a go for our first (well we threw caution to the wind) about 2 days later I stood up at work and felt dizzy and nauseated. The thought popped into my head that "this is what they must mean by morning sickness." I pretty much had the same feeling every other day for a few weeks and then I could finally take a test. So you totally could be feeling it but darn it if you cant confirm it yet.

10 days is about the earliest you typically could get a positive. But a negative right now certainly would not rule out a pregnancy. If you test now do it first thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated. If it is neg I would repeat in a week or so. I hope you get the result you are looking for!

Implantation happens 10 days after. I don't know why you need to wait three weeks to take a test. I took my last pregnancy test 10 days after we had sex and it came back positive. I did take an early detection test, but implantation occurs 8-10 days after conception.
