I had a tummy tuck in 2008. I was divorced and did not want to have more babies. My husband (now) would like for us to have a baby. I would like to aswell, but I am scare.
Question: have any of you had a tummy tuck and then had babies? Were there any consequences? Pain?

Thank you for your responces. I did speak to my GYN (he said, he has never devlivered a baby from a Mom who had a tummy tuck) <---hard to believe. I also asked my plastic surgeon (the one who did the surgery), he said I will be ok, except I will have constant pain from the skin and muscles stretching, but the baby will be ok. These are both men, and their opinions.
I want to read about Moms who had the experience themselves and not from male doctors...

I never had a tummy tuck, but if he wanted a baby after you had that tuck, maybe you can discuss with the doctors to see what the pro and cons before you start plan a baby... you never know it may not be that bad as you think it is... see what your doctors say... good luck..:)
I agree with Sakina, ask an OB as well as a plastic surgeon.
I think it will be ok, but you'll stretch everything (muscles and skin) out again, and there is potential for stretch marks. You might end up having another tuck in a few years.
my mom had a tummy tuck a few years back and the doctor told her she would be unable to have another baby because the skin would be so tight that it would not strech enough to let the baby grow. i dont know if that is one size fits all though
I think you should speak to a few more doctors... female ones in fact.. just to get more 2nd/3rd opinions. I'm planning on having a tumy tuck in a couple of years after I'm done having kids, and it scares me to think what if I get pregnant after doing this. Thanks for asking this :)
Had a TT in 02, had a baby in 03. I was mortified and scared. But God is good. No pain and slight stretch marks. My baby (now 6) is beautiful and healthy. It was all worth it.
