Please Help - Stain in Carpet!!!!

Our house is on the market and I have a pinkish-red small stain in the living room carpet. I think my son dropped his Cherry lollipop on it yesterday and didn't tell me. It's not in a spot that I can just move furniture over it nor cover it with a throw rug without being painfully obvious. I've tried Oxy-clean and Resolve and neither have worked. Please, can anyone help?

What can I do next?

resolve OXI...anything oxy works amazing.
also i read recently that hairspray with high alcohol content works great on stains--it was a tip from Tide's website.

Try Folex. I get it at Lowes but Home depot may have it too. It hasn't let me down yet.

I agree with Folex. Pour some Folex on and rub it around with a wet rag. It worked amazingly well on my son's beige carpeting with filthy stains.

Look up Charlie's Soap All Purpose Spray. I get mine on amazon.com but you can look on the Charlie's Soap website to see if they carry it in a retail store near you.
I have used it to get out the most stubborn of stains. It even takes mustard stains out!
Good luck!

use a product called Fels-Naptha. It comes in a big bar and my grocery store sells it for around $3. I wet the bar and scrub it on the stain and leave it on. After it dries, I wet the spot and repeat the scrubbing. I have found it removes pet stains and just about everything else.
I have my own carpet shampooer and I let the bar soak in warm water until it gets mushy. I remove the bar and pour that water into my shampooer tank. It really freshens and brightens up the whole carpet.
It's certainly worth a try.

Good luck.

This is going to sound crazy, but I just heard about a stain remover from my mom's group last week, vodka! And I do have to say I can back it up too cuz my daughter spilled chocolate syrup on a rug in the kitchen. I didn't think the stain would be completely gone, but after dabbing it with a white towel a few times, the spot started lifting. I kept doing it til it was gone. Wow, new rug again and I'm a happy mommy :-)

I use a product called Folex.. It took motor oil out of a carpet in a building all the way from the parking garage all the way to the 6th floor.. Saved my live.. I just purchase it at our local grocery.. I am not sure if hardware stores sell it..

The other thing you could try is to trim some of the carpet fibers in the spot that are the most bright.. .. where the stain is.. be careful not to leave a bald area.. I have done this before with a tiny bit of improvement..

If you have a pet stain remover, maybe give that a try. I have pulled many things out with Nature's miracle. Also you could try letting the area soak for several hours so it is saturated with stain cleaner-not sure if it that would help, hurt, or make no difference.

Red dye is nearly impossible to get out. We had a Kool-Aid spill on a throw rug that professional cleaners couldn't get out. Sorry.
