Playgroup for Infants? Knoxville Area :)

There is a group at my church (Fellowship on Middlebrook) that meets on Tuesdays, one in the am (Moms N More, meets 9-noon) and one in the pm (Mom2Mom, meets 7-9). They have weekly playdates based on the age of your child (the group for your son would be the under 3 group). The group is not just made up of moms from Fellowship but from local churches also, so I'm sure you would be welcomed with open arms (even if you don't attend a church). And not related to playdates, check out the library - they have storytimes for kids based on their ages. I go to the one in Fountain City for kids up to 2 and it is awesome (and free)! Fridays at 11. Lots of kids there - my son loves it!!

Moms Club is a great resource for playgroups, moms night out, service projects, etc. Basically, it's a community to support stay-at-home and part time working moms. It's divided by zip codes so that moms don't have to drive far. If you live in 37931, 37921, 37909, or 37923 north of I-40, you'd be eligible to join the Northwest chapter. Check out http://nwknox.mymomsclub.com/. If you live in the Farragut or Southwest area, there are groups for those regions as well. Have you tried Mother Goose?

Hi K.! Check out Knoxmoms.com in the Mom Talk section. There are several moms who get together for playdates. I live in west Knox too but my daughters are 8, 5, and 3 mos. Not much help to you. :) Hope this helps!

I am starting to look into these groups as well, I hear that Helen Ross Mcnabb has programs based on a childs age on certain days. I believe it's something a mom and baby do together and is also free, maybe you can look up the number and call for the days and time. A lot of people I know have said great things about it.
