check our meetup.com. I bet you will find a mom's group in your area. Good luck
I've been a stay at home more for a little over a year now and I think my daughter and I both need to stretch our wings, and get out and meet new people.
Is anyone looking to create a group or is there one that wouldn't mind adding another addition? I live in NE FT. Worth

I would also check local MOMS Club, MOPS, or Early Childhood PTA. They offer a great support network, with playgroups with moms and kids in your area with kids your age, group activities like trips to the zoo or tours of the fire department (including climbing on the trucks, etc). They often include monthly speakers on topics that pertain to SAHMs and some kind of mom's night out activities. That's where we made friends and playgroups when my kids were younger.
Good luck!
Most of the play groups on meetup.com for North Fort Worth seem to be accepting new members.
Check out www.BurbMom.net for tons of reports on local playgrounds, attractions for kids throughout the DFW metroplex and meet ups. You can see the experience that other moms had at all these places before you decide whether it is worth venturing out...
Also, I met a lot of fun moms through the local Early Childhood PTA and moms groups - that might be a good place to start as well.
Good luck!
I am in MOPS at Glenview Baptist church off of Haltom Road in Haltom City. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. We will start up again in September and would love to have you come and try us out. Email me privately if you are interested so I can get you some more info and we can make "reservations" for Lily.
I am part of a moms club in NE ft. Worth/Watauga. If you live btw Rufe Snow and 35W and 820 and North Tarrant, maybe a little farther north, you would be eligible to join. We keep a pretty full calender of events; like 3 activities a week. If you want more info, contact me privately.
I notice other responses recommending mom's clubs and they really are a life saver when you have little ones. If you're not in our geographic area, you should really find one in your area, you'll be glad you did!
