Hey ladies I am looking for some creative ideas for job postings. I am a small company and can't afford to spend $300+ with Monster or CareerBuilder. I posted on Craigslist but it has give me nothing. I am looking to hire someone for on-call purposes, perfect for stay at home moms or a college student. I am at the end of my whits, I am open to ideas.

The local mom group I am in sends out a daily email and every so often there are job postings that would be good for a SAHM. You could probably email them and ask them to include it in a daily email.
In Denton you have both the University of North Texas and Texas Women's University. Both universities (and there is also a community college there) have a job placement office and would be probably be glad to list your job offering. You could call them to find out the information you need.
HI J..
Just Between Friends is a consignment sale franchise. They hold many sales in the DFW metroplex. At the sale, they often will give out packets of advertisements. You can advertise with them in the packets. Just google Just Between Friends and search for locations. When you get to the location's home page, look for a link about promoting your business. It's really reasonable too.
I would post in the local newspaper. Our newspaper posts them online as well, so people can see them for free. I always look at our local paper online to search for jobs.
Local colleges may have a career services office. They could probably add it to their job bank for their students.
I feel your pain. We've had a position open at my company for a while, but are having a hard time finding qualified applicants. We went the Craigslist route (people were less than qualified), and then we also did Monster and CareerBuilder. The applicants from Monster and CareerBuilder were over-qualified. We ended up hiring an over-qualified person but not sure how long he'll stick around once the economy turns around.
I would go to the local college career center and post it there, since that's the type of employee you're looking for. Most colleges have intern programs as well. I have had interns (for FREE!) work for me before. Sometimes they get college credit (depending upon the type of job you're offering) and so they don't get paid - great for you, great for them. I have had great luck with this because in general, college kids tend to be pretty motivated, hard working and idealistic. If it doesn't work out, you haven't invested anything in them, and if it does work out, you've been able to "test drive" a new employee for a few months before making a commitment.
Hope that helps!
You could go to local colleges and post an ad. There are usually bulletin boards at various places on campus for that purpose but you may have to get the posting approved first. There's usually something on the board that will tell you who would approve such a posting. As for SAHMs, why not see if you can post something at a grocery store? Or maybe local businesses would be able to display an ad for you.
If you have colleges nearby, call their career centers and ask how to post jobs there. Also, call their school newspapers and put a classified ad in the paper (most schools these days also have the classifieds online).
For moms, reach out to different moms groups in your area, through sites like meetup.com, cafemom.com and your local MOMS Clubs and MOPS groups.
Also, see if posting it in a different category on craigslist makes a difference.
Good luck!

Community websites are good places to go and the posting is usually for free.
I would definately contact local work force boards and local univeristy's career placement centers. Depending on the nature of your company, there could also be some industry specific organizations that offer job postings to members.
Best of luck!
Go to a luncheon at your Chamber of Commerce and network. It's a great way to meet people in your area and get your name out.
Jamie, I have two large groups I belong to in the Denton/Flower Mound/Lewisville area. I would be happy to post your info on my groups. Both groups are for home school families and home school Moms are often looking for job opportunities that still allow them to home school.
Let me know if you are interested.
Hi J.,
If you are looking for Moms, try finding out where the moms in your area are. There are a number of MOMS Clubs in the area. There are also other groups like Mothers and More, Mothers of Pre-schoolers, and early childhood pta's. If you send me more information about the job, I would be happy to pass it along to my mom friends.
I would try Facebook and ask all your friends to post on their walls as well. Get a social media snowball going.
What type of job is it? I've been looking on CL for something PT while my boys are in school.
Another place to check into is Elance.com, not sure if they charge or not but it is worth looking into it.
If your looking for a SAHM type, go to your local elementary school and find out how to contact someone on the PTA.
For a college student, contact the local college (probably the guidance dept). There's probably a board where you can post an ad.
Monster is a complete waste. It's for large corporations.
What about the local paper? Although I know these are often linked to Career Builder. You purchase an ad and it gets posted in both places.
What about a temp agency?
I belong to a small church but people are always looking for a job. I would say contact churches in your area and I am sure they will not mind passing on your information for free and I know you will always get some great help!
May God bless your business!
I'd be interested in hearing about the job as well. I have a little one at home have been looking for some extra part time work.
Check with the colleges in your area. They often have a place on campus to post things, or perhaps on their newspaper.
I'm looking for work!
I know this might be selfish and I am not sure what exactly you are looking for but I am looking for a 2nd job. If you have not filled the position, please email information regarding the job. My email address is ____@____.com Regards.
I'm interested on the job looking for a part-time job I'm a mother of 3 and I go to school tuesdays and thursdays. Can you explain a little bit more.
Hi, there - I see you have a few other moms who responded about looking for work, but I wanted to add myself to the list of people interested in hearing more about the job opportunity. I am a SAHM with one little girl, and an on-call or as needed job would be perfect. Please message me with more information. Thanks!
