Our grandson has several pimples on his arm, face. I think they are sweat pimples but the doctor thinks they're some kind of skin problem that will last 6 months to a year. When I looked up on line, what she's calling them don't look anything like them. Has anyone had this?

What you're talking about must be Molluscum Contagiosum. All three of my kids had it, and it looked different on each one of them. I would suggest that you/the parents take him to a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and then you will know for sure.

It really depends on what the pimples look like and how old your grandson is (different skin conditions are associated with infants than for older children) as it could be so many things from prickly heat to eczema. Are they itchy at all, dry and red or pus filled? A dermatologist would be better qualified to make a diagnosis.

hi, my daughter had pimply skin for a long time , started on her face then neck, chest, mostly on her legs, sometimes on the back at different stages of development month to month. her pediatrician always says it was dry skin or sensitive skin, ,but they never really sounded sure. i finally tried California Baby products and that healed everything.

Hi K.,
The internet may be great for a lot of things, but it doesn't give us a medical degree. Was the baby looked at by his pediatrician or a dermatologist? If it was the pediatrician, I would request a referral to a dermatologist, they are your expert for diagnosing and treating skin issues. Good luck!!
