Pier One has some neat looking things but I personally feel they are not made to be used on a daily basis.
If you are looking for top quality.... NO. Occasional use... maybe. Shorter life span... yes.
Our daughter chose a chair from there that she loved and that chair did not last through the teen years and she is not hard on furniture.
As long as you are ok with purchasing something again in the near future, go for it. Just remember that you get what you pay for.
I prefer to buy one piece of top quality furniture one time and then be done.
Example... I am just now replacing a Natuzzi leather couch and seat that was purchased in 2000. We bough the couch, chair, loveseat and 2 ottomans for about $3500 in 2000. We are moving the loveseat that was hardly used upstairs to a guest room and the ottomans will stay in the family room because they match the new custom leather furniture we are getting.
I don't like buying furniture over and over again.
