I am totally new to the area so cannot vouch for this place, but I ran across an ad for Doggie's Wonderland in Plano. ###-###-####. They do daycare and boarding. I'm going to check it out for our lab- who is very active and loves to play with other dogs. I liked it because they have a 2 acre outdoor playground that the dogs can access on their own (leash free) as well as an indoor play facility. Obviously you have the concern of not-so-friendly "other" dogs, but to me it is worth taking a look.

We live in Frisco with two labs that we adore, and we got sick sick sick of taking them to get kenneled, so we started using a pet sitter and LOVE it. We use Pet Sitting by Kinsey. She is a vet tech for a living, and just loves animals. She comes twice a day, stays for 30-45 min. each time to play with them, turns lights off/on, brings in mail and the paper, gives them treats and meds, and sends us email updates while we are gone about how they are doing. We were gone for several weeks over Christmas and kept changing our plans on her, and she was totally flexible. She's a darling girl, married, just super sweet. She has had a key to our house for about a year, so after her initial visit to meet you and the animals she just comes over when her assiginment starts. I would HIGHLY recommend her - I know she has a website, too, so you could probably Google it and find her.
