Hi Moms! So I had my baby boy a little over 2 months ago. I stopped bleeding by my 6 week appt. I got on my birth control (seasonink...sp?) I have been on it now for a month but last week I started my period...and its still going!!! Its been about a week. This is my first period since the baby. But with my birth control im not suppose to have one yet. Is it just my body getting regular again? What do you think??
Also I still have alot of pain down there, the doc said Im healed up but it still is pretty sore. Is that normal? Im still scared to have sex or use a tampon. It just still dosn't seem right down there. Anyone else have issues for this long after a natural birth with tearing?? Im thinking of going to a differnt doc to take a look instead of the one that delivered and sewed me up, see what they think. Im just want to be normal again!!!!!! lol

What can I do next?

I'd definitely go to a different doc and have myself checked out. Congrats on the new baby.

Yes, go back to the doctor! You shouldn't still be in pain. I agree with you about seeing a different doctor. If there's another doctor in that practice ask for someone else otherwise ask your friends for recommendations.

The first period was horrible for me too and I had 2 c-secions. I've heard other women complain about that first one after a birth so that may be normal although a yucky pain in the butt! I think you should see your doc about the pain. That doesn't sound right and after waiting 6 weeks and you're afraid to use a tampon or have sex.... Yea, I'd go see the doc!

I think the period / PP bleeding is normal but combined with the pain, I would check back with doc.
