Does anyone know a pediatric/kids only dentist,who's "in favor of using Laughing" Gas? I am getting frustrated at finding one then when you arrive,another person tells you somthing completly different. Yesterday I took my 9yr old to "kids Smiles" dentist in philly. The doc sat right their and lied in my face! I paid $47.00 for the gas to have my daughter made comfortable. The doc said she would use the gas. my daughter comes out mouth ful of gauze,the lady doc had left befor my daughter came out the room (iassumed the hygenist/nurse was their with her. We get to the car, my daughter starts trying to talk. I took the gauze out & she yelled! I hate that lady! mrs (i work with kids all the time) she said sounding pissed & sarcastic of her description of the doc.) This is what I mean, i cant stand doc's that flat out lie to the kids & parents, you can't see what goes on behind closed doors. If any-one know of a kids dentist who WILL SEDATE the child, I'll be happy if you could share this info with me. I am willing to drive to, Trenton N.J, Cherry Hill N.J, Drexel Hill, PA, as long as the doc does what is promised & the parents can go into the room with the child.

I take my children to Children's Dental Health Associates in Newtown Square, PA on Rt. 3 ( West Chester Pike). They are great there and the do use laughing gas. I do not go back to the room with my 5 year old. However I do go back with my 3 year old and have witnessed them using the gas. Someone referred me to Dr. Pasternack & Cohen in Voorhees (not far from Cherry hill, NJ). The first visit I thought the place was a little dingy and was ready to run. But the Dr. (Cohen) was so good with my son (just 3) so I am staying. He has an appointment tomorrow morning to have a cavity filled and she said she would use laughing gas. I will be staying with him in the room so I will be sure. I will follow up if I have any problems to warn you but so far it has been a good experience.

Just following up- they were great! They used laughing as and he was literally laughing almost throughout the whole filling! It took maybe 15 minutes total and it def wasnt the traumatizing experience I thought it would be! I def recommend them - worth the trip for you!

I can't beleive how many people just want to make a dollar and not care and lie. It's horrible. I have two kids ages 8 and 3. My dentist is wonderful and allows the parents in the back and only uses the gases. My niece had to have two teeth removed and she had the gas and felt nothing. They are wonderful. They also have a great background as well as reputation. They are always in the local papers. Children's Dental Health Associates 3475 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 ###-###-####. Temple Children's & Episcopal hospital use it my daugther been to both but I prefer Temple
