Hi Sheila- I have been using professional organizers for years and they are terrific! They usually charge between $50-$75 per hour and have a 3 hour minimum. I am working with someone now who I found through NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers). You can go on their web site www.napo.net and find a list of organizers to choose from. Many will go the extra mile and actually take all of your donation bags to various organizations for you and send you the slips for tax purposes. She completely reorganized my kitchen so I have only the essentials and I actually know where everything is! We donated all of the duplicates to a shelter. It is certainly a great feeling to rid yourself of clutter. I think we become emotionally attached to things and need the objectivity of an outside person to help us purge.
