Hi! I'm attempting to take on the task of organizing my garage and my bedroom. Does anyone have any advice? I've been online reading articles. The ones from realsimple.com are very good if anyone is interested. Does anyone on here do home organization as a profession? I'd love to have someone come into home and give me advice or a free consultation if it is their job. I'm moving in a year and a half, and when it comes time to sell I really want the house to be in order. I do have a small budget for it, but I don't want to spend too much, since as I said the amount budgeted is small, and spending a lot when we'll be moving doesn't make any sense too me. Thanks to anyone reading this or who thinks they can help!

What can I do next?

I happen to know a FABULOUS organizer. Her name is Betty Jean Bowers and she owns "An ORderly Way". She organized our townhouse before we putit up for sale and "Staged" it for us and everything and the house sold in two weeks. We didn't even NEED a bigger house when she got done with it! She found so much space it was incredible. her contact info is ____@____.com

She can at least answer some questions for you. She also does "Virtual" organizing too :) I think that is where you email her pictures of your space now and she gives you tips on how to organize it. But anywho, she can answer your questions.

This book changed my life!

"Clear your clutter with Feng Shui" by Karen Kingston. $10

It talks about the kind of "stuff" we have & the reasons it is ok to let go of it. I cleaned out 2/3 of the contents of my house after reading this book. (Made $3000.00 at a yard sale just after)

Once you get your "stuff" in check, the organization of it is really a breeze. Don't let the words "Feng Shui" scare you, it really is just a common sense approach to the things we have.

Happy Purging!!
