I'm thinking of purchasing a Bugaboo Frog for our 9 1/2 month old. I'd be interested to hear anybody's opionion on this stroller and if you've found it's worth the money and is as great as it's lauded to be. Also, I've heard it takes up a fair amount of trunk space? We currently have a Graco and that pretty much takes up the trunk space in my car. I'm wondering if the Bugaboo would take up more, less or just about the same amount of space?

If you are planning to have more kids I would get the Phil and Teds instead. It is easy to push like the bugaboo, but can convert to a double which the bugaboo can't. Our friends that had the bugaboo ended up buying the Phil and Teds once they had a second child for this reason. Both are expensive so I would save the money and buy the P&T the first time.

I have 4 strollers none of which is a Bugaboo. I have 2 Graco's (Metrolite and travel system when my first baby was born) I ended up getting a Sit N Stand XL when my second son was born. Then i got a double jogger. All 4 stollers new together, I got less then one Bugaboo. I have a ton of friends who have these high price trendy strollers and personally I loooked into getting one. My son was a big baby at birth and by 6months when i looked into one he would have outgrown it at 1year. He was already 32lbs and very tall for his age. Unless you plan on driving over sand, snow and lava why do we need one? I could think of a million things I would rather spend money on then a 800+ stroller for my child and then to have my child outgrow it in a few years. For that price you don't even get a cup holder. My BMW has 2. My 4yr old Graco has no issues and stll works and looks great for 190 and that included the infant carseat. If you plan on having another child anytime soon and your older son still needs to be in a stroller then what are you going to do with your Bugaboo? I don't think they make a double and if they did, it would be a mortgage payment. For me I think its a total waste of money and the Bugaboo doesn't even look attractive. That is just my opinion of course. Babies don't care what they ride in. Children cost a lot of money already. why use it on a stroller? Unless you are going to use that stroller everyday and you travel a lot then I can see it. My friend who swears by her Bugaboo goes to Hawaii 4 times a year to see Family and it works great on the beaches and visits the East Cost in the snow during the holidays. so I can see why she owns one. Even she told me they are way over priced but she uses hers because she uses the features of the stroller, not so she can look cool walking around the mall the way she puts it. LOL! Good luck. Enjoy this time. It goes by so fast. Personally I will be glad when my second son is done with the strollers.

SAHM 40yrs old with 2 amazying funny little boys. 4yrs old yesterday and 17 months. Was walking at 7months. My life moves at the speed of light and my children truly take my breath away.

I've had a Bugaboo Frog for about 5 years now and LOVE IT. Worth every red-hot penny. We've taken it to Hawaii and gone over lava fields (baby stayed asleep), I've taken it for jogs on the beach, it maneuvers around the mall like nobody's business, and it has stood the test of time. No creaks, squeaks, or shimmies.

That said, I do drive an Expedition so generally speaking I don't have to dismantle it or fold it to put it in the car. However, when I drive my husband's car I do take the seat off and fold it up. It is no worse than the Graco travel system (we had one of those originally and it fell apart after 6 months... ugh!)

The only thing that I really don't like about it is that it doesn't come with a cup holder (sort of like buying a BMW, lol! Where the heck am I supposed to put my Starbucks, people?!). I would recommend buying a cup holder to go with it.

If trunk space is really a big issue for you, maybe check out the Bugaboo Bee. It's a bit smaller and folds one-handed. I'm not sure if it comes with all the bells and whistles of the Frog though.

The Bugaboo is a widely used in Europe. I have not used the Bugaboo but went with the Quinny, another excellent quality stroller. Right up there with the Bugaboo.

Check out Kiwi Kids Gear. http://www.kiwikidsgear.com/ We purchased our Britax car seat through them and could not find it at a better price anywhere. Shipping was very quick.

I have two strollers one is the Metro Light and I love it - it can also hold a infant car seat. It's the one I keep in my car and have it bungie corded in the back of my SUV so it A) stays put incase of an accident and B) stays up right to make more room. I call it my "travel stroller" it's it's perfect light weight, turns on a dime, has a nice amount of under storage space, cup holders for me, tray and cup holder for my little one and has held up through 2 kids. Plus if it goes on the plane I'm not worried if some thing happens to it. My 5 year old had it when he was a baby and we kept it knowing we were going to have a 2nd baby. I then have the Jeep Stroller takes up more space so we use it if we are walking to the park or around the neighborhood or if we take my husbands car. I keep that one ready to go in the garage. I would have gotten the sit stand stroller if my son was in need of a stroller when our 2nd came but we didn't need to do that. If you have an extra $800 that you can't find a better thing to do with - knock your self out. Bottom line is the "Stroller Phase" is a pain no matter what stroller you have, but it's for a short time.

I love our Bugaboo Frog! My son, who is now six months old, has traveled over hiking trails and beach dunes in his stroller and absolutely loves every adventure! Just yesterday the rain did not keep us off the beach; I put on the rain guard and he happily sat warm and snug inside...wonderful pictures prove how much he enjoyed our beach walk in the rain. I have used this stroller almost every day for six months and it still looks like new. Worth the splurge if you do not want rough terrain or bad weather to ruin a great outing with your little one! Handles beautifully...

I have a Phil and Teds and I hate it. I never use it, when the second seat is on top then I have a hard time accessing the baby and when it is on the bottom the baby is always exposed to the elements. Plus, you can only have a child in the second seat when someone is in the regular seat, and the smaller child needs to be on the bottom. So, while the older one is hopping in and out you have to move the baby. It is awful. Oh, and they have the crappiest tires, my best friend and I both have the P&T and we have had to replace two of the inner tubes. When you call the # they tell you that its a common problem and they recommend buying Schwinn inner tubes. Anyways, sorry, that was my rant about that. But if you do want one I will sell you mine for $200.

I have not tried the Bugaboo, but if you are looking around get a Bumbleride. It is amazing! I have the Indie Twin, but I have heard amazing things about the Indie. You can do anything with that stroller and take it anywhere! They also have a smaller one called the Flyer, and it has the reversible handle and the full recline. If I could start over I would never buy another brand!

Hello,
We had the Bugaboo Frog with our first son (I just recently sold it and purchased a double since we now have two children). The stroller was really great and it was difficult to downgrade to another brand when getting a double. As far as trunk space, I don't know how it would compare to your Graco but it does take up a fair amount of space. I used to have a VW Jetta and it always fit just fine in there with room to spare. I think unless you are going to get a Maclaren or other umbrella stroller, most models will take up a lot of space.
I think people's main complaints with the stroller is that it is difficult to collapse and put together since it it not a "one-handed" fold out stroller. It does take some getting used to folding it up, but I really never found it to be a problem. It just may be different that what you're used to. I would go to a store and try it out to see if this bugs you before you buy it.
I loved that stroller and was very happy with it in every aspect. It handled wonderfully, always provided a super comfortable ride for my son, and was very durable and high-quality. Also, the sun shade was awesome, which is my number one complaint with a lot of other strollers. I think people also sometimes like to have a snack tray, which is does not offer, so this might bother you as well if you are used to having that feature.
Hope this helps you. Happy shopping!
